Prof. Cliff Ransom Wendell B. Lilangan is a distinguished academic, researcher, and humanitarian whose passion for education and service has shaped his career. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Central Mindanao University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He later pursued a Master’s in Public Service Management at Capitol University, Cagayan de Oro City, and is currently completing his Doctorate in Public Administration at the University of the Philippines, Diliman, while teaching at Holy Angel University. His contributions to education, social service, and humanitarian work have earned him numerous accolades, including an Honorary Doctorate in Social Work (Honoris Causa) from the United Nobles Rescue Services (Service to God and Humanity) in 2020. Among his many awards, he has been recognized as an Outstanding Dignitary (2021), World Peace Icon (2020), Humanitarian Medal Recipient (2020), and Mahatma Gandhi Peace Awardee for Social Services (2020). Prof. Lilangan has also represented the Philippines in the Australasia Philadelphia Youth Camp in Australia for multiple years (2010, 2011, 2013, 2017, and 2019). In addition to his academic and humanitarian endeavors, he holds key leadership positions in global organizations. He serves as the Deputy Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UNESC), is a member of the International Organization for Democracy and Human Rights (Norway, Europe), and was appointed Greater Regional Coordinator for Asia by Access to Human Rights International-Global in 2020. A passionate researcher and linguist, Prof. Lilangan’s study, “Nihongo Gakushuu: The Interplay of Hiragana, Katakana, and Romaji in Japanese Language Learning,” won Best Abstract in Education and Best in Oral Presentation at the International Multidisciplinary Research Conference in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Additionally, his collaborative research with a Korean scholar, “Perspectives and Lived Experiences of Samsung Data Systems Employees in Thailand towards International Logistics Risks: A Phenomenological Study,” received the Best Paper in Business and Economics Award at the Asia Pacific E-Conference on Multidisciplinary Research (2021).
